I'm a construction and infrastructure disputes lawyer, specialising in high value and technically complex disputes (including in relation to defects, professional negligence, payment claims, change, and delay & prolongation). I've got particular experience in handling disputes arising from large scale civil infrastructure schemes (across all major sectors). I also regularly act on disputes arsing from commercial building projects and am currently heavily involved in cladding and other fire safety claims (including as part of Penningtons' cross discipline Fire Safety Law Working Group). I've also advised several major utility companies on construction and infrastructure related claims. I also have expertise in construction related insurance (particularly professional indemnity policies), and advise on coverage issues (including acting for insurers in coverage investigations and disputes). I'm experienced in all forms of dispute resolution, including multi-party TCC litigation, arbitration and adjudication, as well as various forms of ADR (especially mediation). I also regularly advise clients in the background on live projects to mitigate or avoid escalation into formal disputes.
