Chris Fox

Chris founded the multi-disciplinary design studio, Studio Chris Fox with the aim of transforming the built environment, bridging the disciplines of art, architecture and engineering. As part of his practice-based research, his studio utilises an innovative computational workflow to create structures that push the boundaries of what seems physically possible, whilst telling the meaningful stories of place and people through time. He is passionate about transforming our cities, towns and landscapes through artful thinking and collaboration. Studio Chris Fox has evolved and developed, broadening its skill-set to include strategic art master planning, urban design, landscape, architecture and placemaking. We are involved in all aspects of the design process, and work with an almost obsessive level of detail to deliver exceptional design outcomes. The Studio's full scope computational workflow allows us to control the entire design process from strategy and master planning, through to emergent design, fabrication and installation.Chris is a Senior Lecturer in Art Processes and Architecture at the University of Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning. He has practiced as both an artist and academic with over 25 years’ experience in the built environment, navigating the complex constraints of the public domain to design and deliver landmark interventions of wonderment and beauty.
