He has vast international experience in consulting to government bodies, major international oil, gas and petro-chemical and energy companies in emergency and crisis management. He has developed risk, crisis and emergency management plans for government and heavy industry as well as preparing senior executives to manage organisational crises. Chris is an experienced counter terrorism responder and chemical warfare response specialist, who has served as the Deputy & Acting Chief Fire Officer for the Australian Capital, Canberra where he was instrumental in the development of the Chemical, Radiological and Biological Response Plan. He established the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service Special Operations Unit which focused on disaster and counter terrorism response. He has attended the Executive Fire Officer Program at the US National Fire Academy in Emmitsberg Maryland and was an Australian representative to the United Nations International Search and Rescue Advisory Group for Urban Search and Rescue.
