A Loss Adjuster ‘man & boy’ having left school to join Cunningham, Hart & Co as an office junior. Most recently happily giving time and what help and advice I can to Hollie Gazzard Consulting as a Non-executive Director. I qualified as a Chartered Loss Adjuster in 1991 and have more than 30 years claims and consultancy experience. I have dealt with major material damage, catastrophe, and business interruption claims in the UK and overseas. After qualifying, I worked as a Consultant to United Nations Compensation Commission dealing with ‘Large and Complex’ Government claims valued in excess of US$8 billion. I have international catastrophe experience, including Hurricane Ivan - Grand Cayman (2004/2005), Hurricane Wilma - Grand Bahama (Post incident audit/review) and UK floods (2007 and 2015). Additional experience has included major loss, technical audit for a major UK Loss Adjuster. Personally, I specialise in property (commercial and residential) and business interruption losses. I thrive in dealing with technical and problem cases, including those that others would prefer off their desks. I remain passionate about Loss Adjusting and its role in an ever demanding claims environment. I am certain that my profession doesn’t always get a fair crack of the whip in terms of press & PR but there remains a key role for traditional, high-quality Loss Adjusting in our industry, which is what Paradigm clients get from us!
