I love building companies. I've been helping companies acquire top talent since 1997. I began my career on the agency side, founded an engineering recruiting agency and proceeded to work in-house for Riverbed, Google and Twitter. Next was an Andreessen Horowitz start-up called Illumio where I was the first recruiter in the door and built their recruiting program from the ground up. I'm now building an Andreessen Horowitz/Insight/Matrix funded company called Apollo. After running people operations for three years, I'm now back to the fun part: Hyper-growth. Expertise: - Recruiting function building & scaling, team development, training, and mentoring as well as the ability to roll up my sleeves and be hands on with sourcing and recruiting. - On the HR side, I have owned culture, performance review cycles (and performance management), as well as created and managed company compensation strategy. The partnership between HR and TA is critical, and I think that there's a lot of room to innovate in this partnership. - Recruiting verticals: Engineering/executive sourcing/recruiting, sales/GTM recruiting, finance, international & non-engineering sourcing/recruiting and university recruiting.
