Chris Sipple, CFA

Chris is a hedge fund industry veteran with over 20 years experience in financial and investment management, with experience that spans across multiple asset classes, including investment research of 1000+ companies analyzed career-wide. Drawing on a wealth of knowledge gained throughout several economic cycles as an institutional investor, Chris is quick to adapt to dynamic market conditions and has an innate ability to preemptively mitigate risks, protect investor capital and capitalize on opportunities through periods of economic uncertainty and unprecedented market volatility.Chris currently serves as a Senior Investment Analyst and member of the Investment Committee at Fortunatus Investments, an investment management firm with over $1 billion in AUM, where he is responsible for investment-sourcing and research across multiple portfolios. Chris also serves as an advisor for a Dallas-based venture capital firm focused on early-stage funding of high-growth technology companies. Chris served as CFO and Senior Analyst at Dallas-based SRC Capital Management, where he oversaw all business and finance operations and held a key role on the investment team, where he contributed to the management of their long-short equity portfolio. In 2005, he was a Founding Partner and Senior Analyst at Blue Lion Capital, an institutional money management firm employing a fundamental bottom-up approach to long-short investing. Chris began his investment management career at Precept Capital Management, where he specialized in equity research focused on the Software, Tech Hardware, Consumer and Business Services industries. Chris holds a BBA in Finance and BS in Computer Science from Texas Christian University (TCU). He became a CFA charterholder in 2004.
