In my current position as the lead Kevlar(R) Pulp Manufacturing Engineer, I have always tried to change the nameplate of a piece of equipment to bring it above and beyond its’ advertised capabilities. Drawing on my knowledge of Six Sigma, and applying my experience, and utilizing my teams strengths, we have been able to look outside the box in order to obtain the desired results for the end goals. The goals have always been to design in a poke-yoke solution, while making equipment easier to maintain and troubleshoot.
