Christian Ellemose Henriksen

I am the project manager of the architectural finishes on the Metro Cityringen project for PLH Arkitekter. In this role I am in charge of coordinating the design of 17 new metro stations in collaboration with the architectural finishes contractor and other involved parties. I am overseeing a team of 30 designers, working at a project office, making sure that their work coordinated and delivered on time, while taking care of staffing, personnel care and scheduling. A project of these proportions is truly inspiring to work with on a daily basis. The public attention and impact of large scale infrastructure project like the Metro Cityringen has made a distinct mark in the history of Copenhagen, and it has manifested our Companys role as one of the frontrunners in infrastructure design in Denmark. Before the current hire at PLH Arkitekter, I worked for a couple of smaller architectural offices, doing primarily renovations, but had a past at hire at PLH doing large scale mall projects and caretaking the role of BIM manager on those projects. I am really dedicated to my work and always eager to take on new tasks and connect to new clients. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite part is to manage the seemingly unmanageable, and create a prioritized schedule to achieve all goals at the end. In this process I have to guide my team of designers to meet the specific demands of a given task, and that is one of my daily motivations and what makes my work fun. I have a Bachelor of Architectural Technology and Construction Management from KEA Copenhagen in 2004 and has build on to that education with a year on the School of Architecture and courses in project management and occupational health and safety. I am always interested in connecting with fellow brain trusts to widen my network and gain valuable knowledge.
