Christina Smith

I am an honest, dependable, compassionate, and ambitious individual focused on success and passion in work and life. My passions include exploring the world, expressing my creativity, and helping others. I am a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in 'Merchandising of Textiles, Apparel, and Furnishings' with a minor in 'General Business'. I served as the Public Relations Chair of the Kappa Omicron Nu National Honor Society and was an active member in the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS). I completed an internship in the summer of 2012 at New York & Company at Zona Rosa in Kansas City. While interning, I was able to improve my communication skills, leadership skills, and customer service skills while also getting an inside look at all the retail functions within the store. My experience was enhanced by an amazing management and assistant management team that challenged and encouraged me every step of the way. The summer after my college graduation I ventured all throughout England and Paris, France. My passion for traveling was ignited by the beauty I witnessed and excitement I felt at every stop along the way. It was unlike anything I have ever experienced and I plan on further educating myself of the world around me in the future with my current endeavor as a flight attendant. I am currently enjoying my career as a flight attendant with ExpressJet Airlines. Although it holds many wonderful benefits which allow me to explore the world, it also holds many challenges such as ensuring complete passenger compliance and safety throughout the flight. This career path continues to challenge yet inspire me on a daily basis and has further enhanced my communication and customer service skills on a different level than my past retail experience allowed.
