I'm passionate about promoting human wellbeing through better design.As a UX designer and researcher, I have one big question - 'How do we design technology so it influences users in a positive way?' - and I explore it through an interdisciplinary approach, using my expertise in social psychology, ergonomics, computer science, plus a strong skillset in visual design.At Accenture Interactive, I have led many client projects using a user-centred approach to design, evaluate and transform brands’ customer experience across industries, including digital marketing, public services, education, digital product & services, healthcare and utilities. I'm also the Chief Product Officer at Kidovation. I believe that through innovative educational experiences, we can empower children and young people with the skills they need to grow and thrive in society. I'm leading Kidovation’s branding strategy and product design, innovating global programme offerings, creating campaigns with the Marketing team across a range of mediums, and managing our wonderful Product & Design team with 8 other very talented product designers and experience researchers. Coming from an academic background, I enjoy making theoretical discoveries and translating them into practical design implications. My PhD research focuses on how timing as a factor can affect users' agency perception ('sense of control') when interacting with intelligent systems. The resulting insights can inform mixed-initiative system design (e.g. Programming by example, end-user automation) and facilitate back-and-forth interaction with inference components.In my Master's and Bachelor's projects, I studied the effects of human-computer interaction on users' attitudes and prosocial behaviours (e.g. Energy conservation, cross-cultural adaptation). With a background in Industrial Engineering and Ergonomics, I'm also experienced in complex systems optimisation (e.g. Safety engineering, quality control, operations research).*When I'm not working* I'm a guitarist who love poetry, calligraphy and handcrafting. :)
