For the past 11 months I have been working in Qatar, working with Ashghal. My role has seen me aid in the development of the National Road Safety Strategy for Qatar, manage a team of Road Safety Engineers to deliver Rural Road Safety Improvements and overall Road Safety Improvement programme, comment and make recommendations on the new Qatar Highways Design Manual and the Qatar Traffic Signs Manual. In addition to this I have developed the first Road Safety Improvement Programme which will be delivered by a 50million QAR contract. I have also been a driving force in Passive Safety guidelines and have recommended the use of several innovative products on Ashghal's road network. As part of Amey's Contract 4a requirements I have been implementing Road Safety processes and procedures and working collaboratively with Ashghal counter-parts.
