I have over 24 years of experience in the corrections field in the states of Illinois and Arizona. This included 17 years in a supervisory capacity and 10 years in investigations and gang intelligence. My most recent positions were Associate Deputy Warden and Administrative Security Officer with the Arizona Department of Corrections. Functioning as the Administrative Security Officer, I provide support to Security Operations Administrator/Division Director of Offender Operations and all Prison Complexes. I assisted in maintaining updated Emergency Operation Plans for prison complex and administrative office buildings within the agency. I routinely coordinated with Executive Staff successful facility shakedowns utilizing staff and resources from state-wide to complete comprehensive searches of living units and inmates. I was responsible for monitoring and coordinating the calibration of all walk though metal detectors at each facility. During my career in corrections, I have over 200+ hours in Tactical Training, which included 100+ hours of Tactical Rescue Team Training and functioned as the Facility Commander for 3 years. I functioned in the capacity as Investigations Unit Supervisor at two large correctional facilities. I conducted confidential and sensitive investigations involving staff and inmates which resulted in administrative disciplinary sanctions as well as criminal charges resulting in conviction. I have completed the Terrorist Liaison Officer Training with the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center – ACTIC. I am very motivated and possess excellent communication, writing and computer skills.
