The visions of creative, courageous leaders - and their teams - move the world forward, strengthen communities, improve quality of life. But for this kind of change to happen, the right people need to know the story, why it's important, what it means for them. Strategic communication makes this possible. Our strategies have changed the course of history, and the futures of so many organizations. We grow awareness; build support for projects and ideas; change perceptions; change laws! We communicate ideas purposefully, using tools like executive coaching and branding, crisis communications and conflict resolution, public relations, community outreach, websites, design, social media, media relations and publicity, SEO, video, podcasts, email newsletters and blogs to connect emotionally and strategically with audiences. When we dive into this work, I draw from social science research and writing experience and from my global experience as a "third-culture kid" - understanding human behavior, habits, responses and trends among our focus audiences, synthesizing unique ideas and opportunities, and communicating effectively with our public. I am currently building out our crisis communication services to include conflict resolution and facilitation, supporting organizations in overcoming obstacles to growth and nurturing resilient, participatory cultures ready for the challenge. Our work is based on relationships: the partnerships we nurture as an extension of our clients' teams; the relationships we grow with communities; and the people who teach and inspire us every day.
