Some people craft vision, and some live in the technical details - both are necessary and I am equally comfortable on either side of the equation. I have been called a master translator, one who can quickly understand business problems and apply the right lever, perhaps a technology solution, perhaps a change in culture. My energy comes from engaging with people, taking on big ideas, and tackling the obstacles that come with executing on those ideas. And I believe this is best approached one relationship at a time, working with others for mutual benefit. In my 20+ years in the technology industry, I have had the privilege of leading amazing teams spanning sales, consulting, engineering, and marketing. What ties these experiences together is that in each chapter, the teams were laser-focused on helping customers win. Highlights for me include leading the consulting team that took Nordstrom from bricks and mortar to .com, engineering solutions that helped thousands of IT professionals make the journey to the cloud, and crafting marketing content that was both inspiring and educational. Throughout each of these industry experiences, I have always valued and learned from industry analysts. I have witnessed how their research and insight can become almost a forcing function, aligning strategy for both customers and the companies that serve them. And now as the leader of Microsoft's AR team, I have two simple goals: to listen to and incorporate analysts’ insights into Microsoft’s strategy, and to support analysts with crisp, timely and accurate information on Microsoft.
