After 26 years in the Chilean Army, I learned from the best experts about leadership, self-denial, resilience, order, effort, companionship, and loyalty. I learned to work and do a lot with little, developing creativity and initiative to accomplish each task. In order to plan and conduct operations under the command of people, I first had to learn to obey and pass shortages. As expected, my military curriculum is full of experiences in operational units, however it is complemented by teaching experiences at different levels, with various extra-institutional experiences, exchanges as a student or teacher, both inside and outside Chile and also working as Operations officer with the European Union in the mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a period in which I got involved and achieved high expertise in the field of international operations, crisis management and emergencies. Finally, in recent years I have sought improvement, experience and knowledge in logistics (planning and control operations), in which I have maintained myself in different levels and positions, hoping to continue contributing and developing specific skills in the supply chain process, because the greatest lesson is always keep learning.
