I have always strived to improve myself and my core knowledge of any role I have been involved in. A few professional highlights would include; achieving Charter status with IOSH, moving seamlessly into health and safety from my engineering background using the experience gained to improve working practices particularly around the health bit of H&S, ergonomics, ventilation, moving and handling etc, Biggest highlight undoubtedly would be taking the lead on Wellbeing in my previous role-this enabled me to push for a higher profile and recognition of Mental health in the work place. From a visible point of view I developed with the organisations IT department a wellbeing portal that all staff could access via any internet enabled device, not based on working information but on things that matter to all of us,Health, Relationships, Leisure and general work issues. Now I have the lead for Managing Asbestos/Legionella another steep learning curve but an interesting one so far..
