I have worked in community behavioral health services and the criminal justice system for over 20 years. I work with several academic and community programs to address behavioral health care issues and continue to sit on several boards, professional organizations, task forces, and other leadership positions. My research interests include lifespan and identity development, rural behavioral health services, consultation and collaboration services, advocacy, and contemplative practices. I have several publications and presentations in the counseling, human development, and counselor education fields as well as developing several conferences. Currently, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor in private practice. I am also a consultant with Wayne State College in Nebraska on several special projects. Previously, I was the department chair and an assistant professor at Wayne State College for several years. I enjoy developing community and academic partnerships to promote the counseling field and advocate for our clients and communities.
