Colin Pitt

I was an intern for two San Diego Production Companies for one year. I’ve been a freelance PA for almost a year. A substantial amount of my experience pertains to going on runs, transporting equipment, and keeping myself constantly occupied with tasks that keeps the production running smoothly. On smaller productions, I would assist any department that needed me. Sometimes I would also transport crew. My main duties as a PA include keeping Crafty stocked, performing lock downs, keeping fire watch, going on runs, and giving assistance to anyone who needs it. I have experience in assisting most departments. I have worked on reality television, commercials, corporate videos, live events, and short films. I know how to handle a variety of audio, camera, and grip/gaffer equipment. I know how to operate a walkie-talkie and a headset. With my previous experience, I know what set etiquette is. I’ve worked on fourteen hour shoots before. I never lose face; staying kind and courteous to those around me. I’m constantly on my toes, and I’m always looking for ways to help. Along with my great work ethic, I have a mellow and funny personality. I received my degree in Biology from the University of California Riverside. I am also a Pre apprentice with the local International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees. I have worked as a carpenter and an electrician helping to set up concerts, plays, and other live events. My real passion has always been film and video production. It’s my dream to write screenplays and have people turn them into reality.
