Dr. Wu's research interests are on statistical analysis for longitudinal data, statistical methods for clinical trials and observational studies, statistical estimation and inferences in semiparametric and nonparametric models, statistical analysis with biased sampling models, survival analysis, statistical modeling in genetic epidemiology, and statistical applications in cardiovascular and blood diseases. Dr. Wu has extensive collaborative experience with hematologists, cardiologists, radiologists and other scientists at the National Institutes of Health and academic institutions. He is Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute and Fellow of the American Statistical Association. He has been Guest Co-Editor for Statistics in Medicine and Associate Editor for Biometrics. He is currently serving as Data Monitoring Committee member for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and Independent Statistical Expert for the Sphygmomanometer Committee of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI, U.S.). In addition to his full time job as Mathematical Statistician at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health, he is also Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
