About

Since June 2004, I have had the privilege to serve as public affairs manager for Williamson County, one of the fastest growing counties in the State of Texas for more than two decades. The county seat is located in Georgetown, one of the top three fastest-growing cities in Texas. The fast growth of the area coupled with the diversity of county government has given me the opportunity to grow professionally. I graduated from TCU's Certified Public Communicator program in July 2017. I received training in the Bleiker Citizen Participation method to create public involvement plans for infrastructure issues. Working with Emergency Management, I have enhanced my crisis communication training to include Incident Command training, taught FEMA Basic Public Information Officer training at the state level, and have served as PIO for several emergency events. These experiences, on top of my education and accreditation in public relations, have broadened my knowledge and made me a more effective communicator for the residents of Williamson County. I currently serve on the advisory board for the TCU Certified Public Communicator program and the board of the National Association of County Information Officers (NACIO). Specialties: strategic communications plans; media relations and training; crisis and emergency response communications; social media strategy; video script writing and producing; presentations.
