I am entering my final year as a Computing student, Specialising in the Software Development stream, in TU Dublin (Tallaght Campus). I am on track to achieve a 2.1. The course has modules which are individual based and modules which are teamwork based. Because of this, I am learnt in individual work and teamwork. I am a qualified FAI coach, with my National D Coaching License. I plan to obtain the UEFA Pro License in the future, but my next step is the UEFA C license and National C Goalkeeping Coaching License. During my internship with Sonalake, I worked primarily with the Analytics teams. In working with this team it sparked my interest in Data Science. I was exposed to many algorithms. These include: - Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) - Concurrent Neural Networks (CNN) Auto Encoders - Prophet / Neural Prophet - K Means Clustering - ARIMA - XGBoost I contributed significantly to Sonalake's anomaly detection project. This was a tool being developed to predict RAN congestion on mobile networks. I was also exposed to time series forecasting. Through this I became familiar with time series databases such as TimeScaleDB and InfluxDB. I was introduced to Rust during my internship. This was while working on a project building a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Simulator. This project was a real test for me as I had to learn a completely new language from scratch. Rust is well known as one of the most favorable languages for development on websites such as Stack Overflow, so I felt it was worth learning. But some concepts were tricky to adapt to. Through determination and a willingness to learn, I became comfortable with Rust and made a contribution to the overall project. I felt this project was very rewarding from an academic perspective. I have excellent communication, social and leadership skills. These are skills which I’ve learned through football coaching, working in retail and hospitality and through education.
