About
Cornelia Horner, CMP is the Chief Operating Officer for the American Land Title Association (ALTA) where she oversees meetings, marketing, membership, human resources and accounting. After approximately ten years of working on Capitol Hill and in government relations, Cornelia was able to parlay her passion for planning meetings and events into a career as a meeting planner and then spent nearly eight years with CropLife America, a trade association, as their director of meetings. Following CropLife America, Cornelia opened Convention Meeting and Hospitality Solutions (CMH Solutions), an independent meeting planning company but was convinced to return to the association world by her client ALTA. Since joining ALTA as Director of Meetings in 2007, Cornelia has grown as a successful leader in the non-profit world, serving as Vice President over meetings, marketing and membership, and now, COO. In her tenure, she has seen the association nearly double in size both in number of members as well as attendees at the association’s major conferences. Cornelia is a graduate of the University of Alabama where she received her degree in Accounting. She received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 2002.
