Currently completing a Basic Addiction Counselling Certificate (BACC) course through ACCSA. I have always had a strong desire to help people and the disease of addiction is an always-progressing illness; as well as a very interesting field of study, especially in this day and age where narcotics, alcohol, and other addictive substances are even more readily available than previously. I have worked in IT all my life really, but have made the plunge and decided to change career paths - failure is not an option! I would love to work as an Assistant Counselor, and I would eventually I'd like to specialize in either children dealing with addiction, or couples in addiction/recovery, or perhaps even addictions in the corporate workplace.
