Two initiatives that are particularly significant to me are the Peer Connections Program and the activities of the Customer Service Committee at UNLV. In the community, I have coached little league baseball teams, cooked meals at soup kitchens, and organized toy drives. I believe in living a simple and minimalist lifestyle. I enjoy hiking and camping and have backpacked over 300 miles of the Appalachian Trail. I also enjoy sports and have served as a player and captain for employee teams that include softball, volleyball, and kickball.
