When I was a kid I used to dismantle my toys and build new ones from the pieces. I remember like it was yesterday the day I got my first computer. It was a Windows 98 with 64 MB of RAM and it was too old for almost all people in 2008, but it was perfect for me. Of course, it stopped working a lot, and I had the chance to learn how to fix it, which gave me my first job fixing computers in my town. Since then I have been building my career in tech. My path from a guy who got a second-hand computer in 2008 to become a Software Engineer was only possible by taking the broken pieces and building something new with them. But keep in mind that the important is the knowledge behind them and the ability to learn things fast because, like I usually say, technologies die like butterflies.
