In January 2011, I joined the U.S. State Department as a Foreign Service Officer (FSO). I am a consular officer currently serving as the Visa Branch Chief at the U.S. Consulate General in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and have had tours of duty in Caracas, Venezuela, Ankara, Turkey, and Havana, Cuba. I have also served temporary duty in Istanbul, Turkey and Bogota, Colombia.I was with Leonard, Street and Deinard (now Stinson, LLP) from 1990 to 2010. In that time, I maintained an active employment law litigation, counseling and business immigration law practice. I was also an adjunct professor of immigration and nationality law at William Mitchell (now Mitchell Hamline) College of Law from 2007 to 2010. I am fluent in Spanish and have a working knowledge of Turkish and German.
