I have recently returned to my core role at Alder Advice after a 2 year secondment at NHS England. I was the Breast Screening COVID recovery Programme Manager from August 2020 to March 2021 and the Health and Social Care Workforce Adviser to the COVID Vaccination Impact Programme from April 2021 to July 2022. My focus was on increasing uptake of the COVID Vaccinations by the health and social care workforce in the London Region.I have 20+ years of experience as an adviser to and a senior manager in Adult Social Services. My experience covers all client groups, but most recently I have focused more on supporting adults with learning disabilities. My main strengths lie in strategy development and service delivery where “making ends meet” is a challenge due to complex operating environments. I am a qualified and currently registered CIPFA Accountant. I am also a qualified marketing professional. I am a trained Appreciative Inquiry practitioner and have highly developed group facilitation, project management and leadership skills. This combination of skills means my work is analytically rigorous and evidence based. I always seek out existing strengths to build on and I very much sees things from the perspective of the people being supported and their carers. I recognise that staff are our biggest asset, but that staff working closely with the people we support, carers, the local community and partner organisations is the key to achieving better outcomes and lower costs.
