Dana Boyd

Dana Boyd is a Senior Quality Specialist for Pfizer, Inc. Dana has fifteen years of pharmaceutical and biological industry experience in the areas of quality, engineering, validation, maintenance and manufacturing operations. Dana is experienced in conflict resolution and consensus building within cross functional teams to ensure Pfizer quality standards and procedures, and regulatory requirements are met. Dana is currently responsible to ensure timely completion of investigations with effective corrective/preventative actions (CAPA). Dana performs investigations, author reports, ensure appropriate CAPAs are implemented, perform real time trending, and effectively communicate the status of investigations. Dana works with manufacturing and utilizes tools such as Method 1, Human Error Reduction (HER), & Solution Tree in the course of the investigations. Dana also conducts Gemba meetings with the investigation teams. Prior to her current role, Dana supported cleaning and process validation meeting aggressive timelines that aligned with site and/or departmental objectives. Dana also has ten years of experience with traditional validation and participation in customer audits relating to equipment, process and cleaning validation. Prior to working for Pfizer, Dana worked for a Validation Consulting company at various company sites performing different roles such as protocol review, writing and/or execution of protocols, review of change control documents, and/or historical review analysis. Dana received her Bachelor’s in Material Science Engineering from Purdue University, and her Master’s in Management and Leadership Cornerstone University. Dana is also PMP (Project Management Professional) certified through Project Management Institute (PMI).
