Dane Burkholder

Dane is a first year graduate student at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He previously completed a Master’s in International Economics at the Berlin School of Economics and Law and lived in Berlin, Germany, where he was a Fulbright Scholar. Originally from Denver, Colorado, Dane graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor's in Economics and a Minor in Biology from Duke University. Dane then worked for two years on Wall Street as a Macroeconomics and Emerging Markets Analyst at Citigroup, where he specialized in Latin American sovereign debt and U.S. Relations with China. Through experience in the financial industry and at the U.S. Departments of State and Commerce, Dane has built a particular interest in issues relating to macroeconomic policy such as debt relief, international trade agreements, and development aid. Upon graduating from Harvard in 2024, Dane hopes to pursue a career in public service.
