Daniel Ang

Daniel is Director of the Sydney Centre for Evangelisation, established by Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP in 2020 in the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney. The Centre brings together the ministries of Sydney Catholic Youth, a Life, Marriage and Family team, a Parish Renewal Team, Communications and News Media, a Digital and Design team and The Catholic Weekly. Developing the Archdiocese’s Mission Plan, Go Make Disciples, Daniel is also responsible for its implementation which brings together the structural and spiritual dimensions of parish renewal and revitalisation within the Archdiocese and its 130 parishes. He also serves as a member of the diocesan Curia. Daniel previously served as Director of the Office for Evangelisation in the Diocese of Broken Bay, and in faith formation and mission strategy in the Diocese of Parramatta in Sydney’s west.He currently serves as a member of the Australian Catholic Council for Pastoral Research and has advised on various initiatives of the Church, including the fifth Plenary Council of Australia held in 2021-2022.Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney, and a Master of Divinity from the Sydney College of Divinity, undertaken at the Catholic Institute of Sydney. He is published in a number of peer reviewed journals in the areas of ecclesiology, spirituality, and contemporary issues of pastoral concern in the life of the Catholic community (see http://timeofthechurch.com/articles).
