Daniel Collins

I currently have 17 years of experience in the Networking, System Administration, Network Security and the Technical Engineering Field. Always continuously learning through class work along with real world experience with a wide range of different networking protocols, backup strategies, security procedures, management solutions, operating systems, admin utility tools and much more. I have experience working in different industries, cities and states all across the country. I take pride in mentioning this because of my ability to adapt, learn and grow in many different types of networking environments, work environments, peers and customers/employees I support coming with different challenges. Two of my 11 years of experience involved working for Barracuda Networks where I gained in-depth experience with the Cudatel (VOIP) & Web server’s configurations, protocols and it’s many different networking environments provide by the customers I supported through the United States and overseas. I was ranked in the top 95% of the organizations technical knowledge and customer service support surveys, produced weekly. I also have management experience serving as Project Coordinator for Washtenaw County Government who services close to 351,000 residents as of 2012. I served as the IT/Network support engineer for years prior while attending Eastern Michigan University Majoring in Information Security and Network Information Technology Administration. In my current position as a Network Administrator at New-Com and all of its subsidiary companies, my main focus is with our Network and its security. Systems administration along with desktop, laptop and mobile device support. Support includes a physical and virtual environments, multiple sites and locations all connected through a Mesh Site to Site VPN network and a heavy dfs environment.
