Our family started a small bike shop in 1981 and I have been working in the industry since that time. Studied and graduated from the University of Alabama entrepreneurship program with a minor in marketing and helped start the University of Alabama cycling team. After that, I competed professionally in mountain bike racing, then coaching cyclist and adventure racers. I moved from that to working at a power meter start up company, SRM and building it from a small operation to a market leader. At SRM, I split time between the U.S. and Europe supporting all of the World Tour cycling teams at events such as the Tour de France, Giro di Italia, etc. Currently managing partner relations at USA Cycling in Colorado Springs. Other passions include fly fishing, hunting, camping and spending time in the outdoors with my family.
