Daniel Golpe

Hi, I'm Daniel Golpe, 37 years old, I consider myself a cabinetmaker/project manager but I am much more then that. I have a deeply rooted passion for the art craft of woodworking that started as a kid with my grandfather in his small home shop. In school I took Electrical, Drafting, and Woodworking classes, and then Vocational Carpentry where I really shined and started to discover my talent. At 18 I started in my 1st cabinet shop doing residential homes in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey area, as a helper/clean up apprentice. I worked my way up from the bottom. I've had the privilege of working on very high end jobs around the country from installing designer stores fixtures in Saks 5th Avenue NYC to installs in LAX airport of some of the most complicated and rewarding work I've ever done. Im a perfectionist and confident I can thrive and help in any environment I enter at least related to my skill set. I've also done very high end kitchens and custom build ins in multimillion dollar homes managing the team and keeping clients happy with the work provided. Learning autocad and a project management software are my next 2 big personal goals im investing my free time into as that seems the most interesting and useful way for me to keep advancing myself. I've been very fortune to have some great teachers along the way who helped me more then I think they will ever know. I firmly believe no one knows everything and everyone know something. So we can all share ideas and grow and learn from each other. I'm highly motivated, organized, always thinking ahead, and communicating that to the team. I work to get things done not to kill time. I enjoy challenges and doing the most complicated and difficult work. I love being organized, and making work more efficient. I enjoy writing cut lists, pushing jobs through, keeping punch lists of things that still need to be addressed, and working out who and how it will get done. I am by no means perfect. I make mistakes. I dont like to make mistakes. Although I do like learning from the mistakes I make, cause sometimes that is the only way to learn, and I live to keep learning, growing, and improving. I'm interested to meet and communicate with likeminded people into similar creative work that embrace similar philosophies. I once heard the best way to learn is to teach, and there's no better feeling for me then inspiring others creatively by sharing ideas.
