Daniel Oh

My career started in the dive bars and pho restaurants of Los Angeles Korea Town. From there, with mostly luck and a bit of effort I broke into the tech industry as a black-box, hardly technical QA, but quickly learned enough SQL to transition into Business Intelligence Engineering. After joining Amazon, I (very narrowly) got accepted into the first cohort of Amazon Technical Academy, a full-time training program that converts Amazonians into Software Development Engineers, thus achieving a 5-year goal of becoming a programmer for a FAANG company, and I will forever be grateful to the Academy for that. Because I experienced poverty for most of my younger life, I am fiercely motivated to help people in need-- at scale, through the tech industry, and hopefully as my full time job some day.
