About
As a youth advocate and program coordinator, I aim to promote change and awareness at a regional and local level as part of my drive to see disadvantaged and marginalized voices heard on the global stage. My lifelong goes is to spread the message of human rights, and educate young Australians on global issues. I have an extensive history advocating for and working with young Australians as the former President of UN Youth Queensland and Program Coordinator of YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament - two of Australia's largest and longest-running youth organisations and programs. Over many years I have served on advisory boards and represented the interests of young people across many different organisations. I graduated from the University of Southern Queensland with a Bachelor of Laws and Arts - majoring in International Relations (with Distinction). I specialize in migration, environmental law, constitutional law, criminology, and Australia's relationships in the Asia-Pacific. I also have an extensive knowledge of the parliamentary process - especially within Queensland. I have many years of experience working directly with Queensland Parliament and with Members of Parliament.I hope to continue working within the humanitarian sector, in youth advocacy and in education. I have an eagerness to work, and a great interest in learning. I have a vision of someday applying my skills at an international level, as part of my desire to encourage internationalism and youth perspectives across all levels of society and government.
