Daniel Rice

I am a VAT specialist, focusing heavily in the food and beverage and financial services sectors, as well as advising a wide range of clients across a myriad of other sectors. Recent successes include agreeing with HMRC that several different products should be reclassified as food, and zero-rated as a result. Currently working with a plethora of high profile and fast growing businesses in the food and beverage sector, with a view to agreeing further zero-ratings. My overall aim is to do my bit to make healthy food more affordable for consumers, and to be at the forefront of the ever-changing VAT rules in this area. I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Economics from the University of Southampton, and am fully CTA and CA qualified. In my spare time, I enjoy my second career as a (very) amateur poker player and occasionally tweet news and nonsense from @itsnotVATsimple.
