I wrote my way into a career that saves lives— Initially hired as a Technical Writer for a small sterile injectable manufacturer, I quickly found myself capable of great organizational change. I took advantage of the platform of "writer" and adopted it into "change agent" through detailed research, careful application, and a loving embrace of the Digital Transformation. For the last eight years, I have served in many supervisory positions while always dedicating part of my work to project management through process improvement. I have worked closely with SMEs from Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, R&D, Regulatory, and Quality to redefine programs and systems that most benefitted the organization. While serving as the key project manager and content author for these various areas, I have been afforded the ability to apply and maintain a holistic view to any initiative to ensure my organization can be both progressive and effective at implementing those changes. With regards to my areas of expertise, throughout my career, I have primarily worked in Quality Systems, Quality Operations, and Technical Services / Validation. To ensure my success in these roles, I have worked most closely with Maintenance / Engineering, Manufacturing, and Regulatory to ascertain a firm grasp on the day-to-day operations of those groups (without reporting directly into them). I have been recognized as an SME and advocate for the Digital Transformation and applying IT principles to Quality / Manufacturing problems. I also have been recognized as an SME for Quality Change Control (QCC) and Engineering Change Management (ECM), Document Management, and Training. In August 2021, I graduated with my MBA in Biosciences from North Carolina State University, and my aim is to continue to improve pharmaceutical / medical device systems while continuing to learn all that is required to successfully make drug products which are safe, pure, and effective and will save and sustain lives.
