I am currently completing the last semester of my undergraduate degree online through Norfolk State University. I anticipate on graduating with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology on December 8th, 2018. Prior to my attendance at Norfolk State University, I attended Los Medanos College where I received my Associates of Arts in Social Sciences and Behaviors (May 2016). My work experience throughout college has confirmed my interest in and dedication to community and childcare. My previous employment as a Teacher’s Aide at Promote Preschool and Childcare has given me a firsthand experience working with children of all ages. During my employment at Promote Preschool and Childcare, I had the opportunity to plan and execute crafts and activities for children. I also assisted teachers with lesson plans and teaching. I did this all while ensuring a safe and fun learning environment for the children. In addition, my experience at Dianne Adair Daycare as a Teacher’s Aide, also prepares me for positions that are based on and related to childcare. While employed as a Dianne Adair Daycare, I had the esteemed pleasure to serve children of all ages. My time spent in this position has enhanced my interpersonal and communication skills. More specifically, I implemented day camps, updated paperwork, effectively communicated with parents, and provided a hazard free environment for children.
