Danielle L. Brunjes, PhD

I received my PhD in exercise physiology from the University of Minnesota in 2011. My professional focus has been in Clinical Research ranging from skeletal muscle to cardiovascular physiology. I have a strong working knowledge of study design, data management, good clinical practice (GCP), and federal regulations. Following a 5 year Postdoctoral Fellowship (3 years in Colorado and 2 years in New York), I completed 3 years as a Clinical Research Manager in the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care at Columbia University Medical Center. I am now the Clinical Trials Manager at Mount Sinai Heart, managing multiple industry sponsored Heart Failure research trials and physician initiated/grant funded projects. My responsibilities include team management, budget & contract negotiations, IRB submissions, data collection, protocol coordination & supervision, and trial regulatory paperwork. In addition, I am also the Administrative Director for the Heart Failure Research Exercise Lab, scheduling and performing Cardiopulmonary Exercise Tests (CPETs).
