Darrell Tiénou-Gustafson

I am a highly qualified, certified teacher with over decade and a half of experience and a Master’s in Education. I have taught grades five through twelve, every core content area, with particular strengths and experience in mathematics, writing, and technology, and in middle and high school grades. I have worked primarily in urban and high-economic-need areas to produce superior, demonstrable results. As a new elementary teacher, I led my students to achieve two years’ gains in a single year. As a high school teacher at a Noble charter school, I created and implemented challenging curriculum that produced both highest historical English growth and scores in our network in two consecutive years, and in math pushed our students this year to the highest ACT and PLAN growth of any content area in the 10th grade. At Chicago Math and Science Academy, I have pushed my middle school science students to achieve the highest historical growth of any grade and subject in our school, and my high school math students to the highest category of growth in our network.
