About
I'm an independent executive coach specialising in career management for Senior Managers, Leaders, C-Suite Executives and High Potentials with aspirations to work at this level. More recently I've been working with clinical and non-clinical health professionals in the NHS. My coachees are both both self-funding and sponsored and are typically looking to navigate the unique twists and turns of their career or work through a specific challenge. The art to successful career management is having real clarity around what you want to be, what you want to do and what you want to have in your career so that you show up as your best self regardless of what's going on for you. It’s also about being comfortable with being uncomfortable as you navigate the various stages of your career and develop the necessary resilience and self-belief to not only survive but thrive in the ever increasing volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world that we live in. My coaching style is a balance of support and challenge based on a non-judgmental and non-directive approach. I create a safe and confidential space for my coachees to explore what they want to ‘be, do and have in their personal and professional lives’ and work through the specific challenge(s) they are facing. I support and challenge them to visualize their overarching goal and desired outcome for their coaching programme and identify the specific areas they need to work on to achieve this. Likewise, to identify what success will look like and how they will measure this at the end of their coaching programme. I hold them in “unconditional positive regard” positioning myself as their “thinking partner" and encourage them to trust in the coaching process, their intuition and their innate ability to find their own answers to their challenges and to take ownership of their coaching programme. Depending on the nature of their overarching goal and desired outcome I use an ‘eclectic mix’ of coaching tools and techniques to facilitate greater self-awareness and insight such as Solution Focused and Co-active Coaching frameworks; NeuroLinguistic programming (NLP), Gestalt and Cognitive Behavioral Thinking (CBT) questioning techniques; Values Elicitation; Psychometric Profiling tools; Personal Brand Profiling and 360 Feedback. I want my coaching practice to make a difference to the two charities close to my heart.
