Dave Plantz

Creative director, content creator, musician, and entrepreneur, Dave Plantz is a driver of brand and product innovation for major media outlets. Dave serves as an evangelist for big ideas, digital advancement, and quality execution. A six time regional Emmy award-winner, Dave is currently the Director of Creative Services for Spectrum Network's national, digital footprint. From the Spectrum News App to exclusive digital content, Dave also oversees the creative for all midwest News brands, Spectrum News 1 (Ohio, Wisconsin, and Kentucky). Most recently at Spectrum Networks, he managed creative for heritage Florida News powerhouses, Spectrum Bay News 9 (Tampa) and Spectrum News 13 (Orlando).Prior to working at Spectrum, Dave was an Emmy Award-winning Senior Promotion Producer for Columbus' CBS affiliate. At 10TV, he oversaw day-to-day on-air promotion production, executed hundreds of spots and campaigns, and developed strategic creative plans for key external initiatives.In college, Dave was a Co-Founder and General Manager for Buckeye TV, Ohio State’s campus-wide cable channel serving more than 50,000 viewers. He was instrumental in conceiving, programming, and branding the channel: Growing it from 4 co-founders to 50+ student volunteers, and accumulating more than a million in assets for the local news, sports, and entertainment hybrid.
