As a Certified Facility Manager with 40 years of experience in Operations, Maintenance, and Construction in the Facilities, Utilities and Petrochemical industries, I enjoy leading teams and managing processes to ensure functionality of facilities, systems, and environments. Assisting facilities and plant owners/contractors to achieve their mission by ensuring the availability and reliability of equipment, facilities, facility systems, services, and innovations necessary for the operation and sustainability of real property assets is my passion. With 28 years of overall Facilities management experience and 15 years of management experience, I promote continuous improvement through pro-active solutions and open communication with a focus on safety, environmental and cost efficiency. I lead by example with high personal integrity and encourage cheerfulness and enthusiasm. I enjoy bass fishing and traveling with my wife. • Provided leadership and direction to Facilities Contract for Pacific Architects & Engineers at NASA Johnson Space Center, including project management of construction renovation to NASA’s Mission Control Center. • Awarded NASA’s Blue Marble Award for excellence in energy and water conservation and NASA’s Silver Snoopy Award from the Astronauts Office. • Led strategic direction and implemented management of change procedure, configuration control procedure, operation’s procedures, alarm management system, departmental KPI’s, and dashboard to improve building user satisfaction and experience. • Maintained multiple LEED silver, gold facilities, supported development of M&V plan for new facilities. • Oversaw maintenance performance including innovations based on Reliability Centered Maintenance & Six Sigma principles, using root cause analysis, failure mode effect analysis. • Led Team in determining outage timing using Mean Time Between Failure and Life Cycle Cost analysis. • Developed and implemented sub-contracts for vendors/contractors and manufacture representatives. • Provided consulting services for the planning and execution of a major plant turnaround at Flint Hills Resources' Houston Chemical Plant.
