Below you will find my responsiblities in my current role with the City of Houston: - Attention to detail; Plans, coordinates, directs and inspects daily operational activities of concrete maintenance workers, equipment technicians, semi-skilled laborers, and laborers to excavate, form up, pour concrete panels, curb and restoration efforts city wide. - Productivity focused; Analyze / resolve staff short falls, equipment / vehicle operating issues, recommend / implement changes to keep projects on track and increase efficiency / productivity. - Demonstrates flexibility; Manage / supervise teams during Tier 1 activation for emergency storm stand-by. - Independently research / creates safety tailgates, maintains daily work location, monthly concrete reports and procurement requests. - Project manager knowledge base; Create estimates, Build of Materials, to include type and quantity of equipment and personnel necessary to complete potential work. - Direct report / supervise and maintain KRONOS for Concrete, Excavation and Restoration crews. - Safety conscious; Enforce requirements and equipment inspections to ensure job site compliance for field workers as well as for the citizens of Houston. - Coordinate contractor needs for tool repair, utility and sprinkler system repair. - Manage inventories of materials, tools / supplies as they pertain to concrete maintenance. - Assess pavement failure, develop corrective action plan to restore smooth riding surfaces of travel. - Create work orders, coordinate teams, update and pass on work orders to appropriate teams. - Train new employee and coordinate recurring training for all personnel. - Network with other city departments. - Drive a city vehicle.
