That our value as lawyers is being redefined to something beyond our ability to sell units of time — that technology is an enabler of this revolution. As obsessed an #Lawtech geek, I've curated and catalogued over 1,000 legal technologies since 2014, giving us a head start in helping GCs and law firms triage and implement the right tools. I also believe: 🌏 That the faster we get to a zero-emissions future, the better. That existing technologies like solar, wind, hydro and batteries, plus the electrification of our machines will make an immediate, practical impact to cutting emissions, and replace our reliance on coal and gas. I believe that our kids should never have to watch gambling ads on TV. That the waste and toxins created by mass consumerism, packaging (especially plastics) is choking our planet. And, that lawyers play a significant role in enabling (or preventing) this destruction. I'm inspired by companies that create renewable energy, recycle, reduce waste and conserve our precious resources. I believe in sustainable products, ethical procurement, fair trade and the circular economy; in the production of healthy, chemical-free foods and consumables.
