I am a trusted legal adviser to business leaders and human resources executives, with broad experience supporting employers in a wide range of industries. I have represented management in all aspects of labor and employment law before state and federal agencies and courts such as cases under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), and analogous state laws. I have developed, implemented and defended alternative dispute resolution (ADR) programs and arbitration agreements with employees. I also advise on drafting and enforcing restrictive covenants for executives and sales professionals, including non-compete, non-solicitation and non-disclosure obligations. I advise and assist management and human resources on a variety of strategic employment and labor initiatives, as well as discrete legal matters including individual terminations, workforce restructuring and reductions in force, disciplinary actions, establishing cross-border international assignments, and preventive strategies such as developing and implementing workforce policies. I am Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
