David Habermann

David Habermann is currently employed as an independent contractor through DAH Consulting Inc., and since July 2020 has been under full time contract with Pyramid Hotel Group to provide Data Architecture and Business Intelligence consulting, including advanced programming in both SQL (MS/SQL Server) and DAX (MS/Power BI). David Habermann was the Finance Information Systems Manager at Dorinco Reinsurance Company. Dorinco Reinsurance Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dow Chemical Company, where Dave was employed from August 1980 through October 2016. Dave is also a work process optimization specialist and a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He oversaw the replacement of the entire information technology infrastructure of the insurance subsidiary, followed by optimization of work processes around the new infrastructure. Additionally, Dave served on the management committee setting the business strategy for this subsidiary. Prior to this he was Dow Corporate Privacy Manager (2001-2003) where he implemented Dow's first corporate privacy policy, and work processes / data systems for assuring corporate compliance to global privacy law. Prior to that he was Business Information Systems Manager for Dow's Polystyrene and Engineering Plastics Business Units (1999-2001) where he formalized, documented and oversaw implementation of the Information Technology Strategy for the entire business unit. Prior to that Dave was a practicing Chemical Engineer (BS, Michigan State, 1980), holding many R&D and Manufacturing roles culminating in serving as the lead technology manager for the design, construction and operation of a unique-in-the-world plastics production plant, a 100 million dollar project completed in 1997. Dave is available for I/T consulting or potentially as a direct hire. He has particular personal interest in cognitive systems, database architecture and use, and I/T security matters.
