David Hounsell

In my current role at Zurich Resilience Solutions I am developing services that align traditional SHE activities with ESG improvements and reporting to increase their impact on the triple bottom line - people, planet, profit. Most improvements and loss reduction measures can only be achieved through positive working relationships and I work hard to develop and maintain these. Continuing personal development is very important to me and helps me keep my knowledge and skills relevant to emerging risks facing people and organisations. I have over 20 years working and developing as a safety, health, environmental and liability practitioner. My experience covers many different sectors both as a SHE professional and in other roles. I have learned much academically and from colleagues across other professional disciplines in facilities management, construction, HR, learning and development and legal services. My particular strengths are in auditing, performance monitoring, risk assessment, behavioural safety, contractor management, training programmes and incident investigation.
