I took a slightly different approach to college and career. I began by entering the workforce with the intent to gain practical business management experience in retail, later earning degrees in Business Management, Marketing, and Finance. With degrees in hand, I became my own boss and an entrepreneur when I opened a retail store and a sales representative company specializing in the apparel industry. After 10 years, I decided to close my businesses and pursue a Masters degree in Cybersecurity Technology at the University of Maryland University College. Shortly after graduation I obtained a TS/SCI clearance and began working for the Abile Group as a Network Administrator and then a Network Engineer. Recently I have transitioned to a security role and became an Information Security Manager.
