David Neithercut

David J. Neithercut has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Company since January 2006 and President of the Company since May 2005. He was Executive Vice President – Corporate Strategy of the Company from January 2004 to May 2005, and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company from February 1995 to August 2004. Prior to joining Equity Residential, David Neithercut served as Senior Vice President of Finance for Equity Group Investments, L.L.C., an owner, manager and financier of real estate and corporations. David Neithercut is a director of General Growth Properties, Inc. (NYSE: GGP). He is a member of the Executive Board of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) of which he served as Chairman in 2015. He also serves on the Policy Advisory Board of the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University and the MBA Real Estate Program Advisory Board at Columbia University. David Neithercut received an M.B.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
